Body Language
Dogs can be very vocal animals. Besides their barking, licking, pawing, jumping, biting and other methods of communication, their main method of communication is by nonverbal signals. Dogs use their bodies in many different ways to communicate with us.
Dogs are much more aware of body language than their owners are. The older more experienced dog anticipates his owners intentions. Usually the dog has recognized his owners body language and knows what instructions are coming his way. Changes in attitude by the owner, are picked up by the dog regardless of the owners intention. Many owners know that their dog knows when they are happy or sad.
Body language to the dog is your posture and stance, which he interprets rightly or wrongly and acts accordingly.
